This "little" project gives a whole new meaning to "sweat equity", since it was at least 115 degrees in my garage while I worked on it. To confess, I am really not what you would call a "junkin" type of person, but my daughter and I saw this beauty:
at the Salvation Army and I felt it had potential! I have been wanting to redo my craftroom and had been looking at tables...apparently in the wrong places. This puppy was $65 but I did not have a way to haul it that day, so I went back the next day with my hubby's truck. Well, if it wasn't half price day at the SA...score baby! My cost $32.50.
So with a little elbow grease, I got it to this stage:
A little more lovin' got it here:
And this is the finished project:
What do you think...worth the effort? Total investment about $50! I am currently working on another table and my desk to go with.
I am hoping my new craft room will get me out of my "funk" and the creative juices will start flowing again!

Have a creative day!

I DID notice that you've been away and I'm SO GLAD you posted!! Glad everything is okay and it's just that you have other projects going on. You did a beautiful job on the table!....only $50...WTG!
Wow!! Girl, what the heck is wrong with you?!! You have so many hidden talents, and you're just now getting around to sharing them with us?!! This turned out amazingly. Sadly, it's so beautiful that you'll no doubt say you can't stamp on it for fear of messing it up. I got your number, sistah - you can't fool me!! LOL Seriously, this is gorgeous. You'd better invite me over to stamp on it someday . . . or I'll have to find a new BFF. LOL
Score is RIGHT!!!! That is amazing!!!! I have an old table that needs refinished...so don't panic when you find it in your driveway ;) LOL!

Hi Terri. I love your work-and your blog. Hoping that you've just been away celebrating summer with grandkids, etc. That said, are you coming back to blogging or haVe you abandoned it? THought I would ask before I remove you from my "fav" list I go through every morning...Blessings, Sharon
Hi Terri,
Thanks for the comment on my new sewing table. Your email was a "no reply", so I wanted to stop be here. Looks like you've been busy making a new crafting space too. I LOVE this table. I have 3 in my sewing room just like it. One for my desk, one for crafts and one for cutting fabric. I love the black legs too. That's my favorite color. Good luck with your craft space!
